KjKJ McCormick

General Manager

It’s been my pleasure to work with my husband & our incredible team at McCormick Vision Source since 2001.

My medical career began in Dallas 30 years ago(1981) at Baylor University Medical Center, in the Special Diagnostic Clinic of the Ophthalmology Department. My specialty was working directly with our patients using cutting edge technology which essentially was unavailable anywhere else in the nation. Not only did I have the distinct pleasure of working with some of the nations top surgeons but the privilege of assisting in proctoring surgeons from all over the nation as they attended our seminars on medical advancements.

Since then, I’ve been Blessed to continue my medical & management career.  Locally, in 1996 the FDA approved Laser Vision Correction in the United States. At that time, Dr. Stephen Dell & I completed a mini-fellowship & I assisted him as we proctored surgeons on Laser Vision Correction.

As in the past & now at McCormick Vision Source, I am surrounded by incredible Doctors & cutting edge technology. I’m so proud to be part of this practice & to work with our Team. Our goal is to provide our patients with the some of the best Doctors & medical technology available. It’s so cool to have generations of patients coming in to see us. We know you have choices & are honored you choose us.

In my spare time, I enjoy raising money for cancer research by creating teams which attend either running, biking or walking events. My favorite is the Half Marathon. Otherwise, I can be found cheering for the Longhorns!

JaimeJamie (448x320)

Receptionist

Hi, my name is Jamie.  I relocated to Texas from California in 2012, and I joined the McCormick Vision Source team as a receptionist in July of 2014.

I really enjoy what I do, and it brightens my day to be able to see patients leave the office with a smile on their face.

When not at work, I enjoy being outdoors and exploring all that Austin has to offer.

ChrissyChrissy new (382x448)

Receptionist

I grew up in the town of Heber Springs, Arkansas.  I graduated in May 2015 from Lyon College, a Liberal Arts School, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology. I have worked in the healthcare field as well as customer service and always enjoyed the atmosphere. I recently moved to Austin in June 2015 to take some time off from school and begin working in a medical office, and McCormick Vision Source was a great fit for me. I love being a part of an office that helps patients so well and has fun doing it.

When not at the office, I enjoy seeing (with my new glasses) all that Austin has to offer and experiencing life in Texas. Hobbies include working out, playing basketball & tennis, reading, and obsessing over TV Shows/Movies.

BridgetBridget Arrendondo (320x448)

Optician

My name is Bridget.  I’m brand new to the McCormick Vision Source family.  I have worn many hats in this field.  I started out as an optician but, I have also worked as an ophthalmic tech and a contact lens specialist.  I really enjoy what I do, especially seeing someone fall in love with the perfect frame.  Over the years, I have seen eyewear transform from a medical device to an important part of our daily fashion. We would love to help you select the perfect pair of glasses to fit your eyewear, as well as, style needs!

In the short time I have been here, I have seen why patients continue to come back. The doctors and staff have welcomed me here with open arms, the same way they welcome their patients.

In my (very little) spare time I enjoy all the awesome shopping we have available in the Austin area. I love looking for unique finds and get pretty excited when finding a good deal!

JuliaJulia Kuhn (448x320)

Optician

New to Austin, I started at McCormick Vision Source on September of 2015.

I have been in the Optical field for 17 years with experience in managing both Corporate Optical Chains and Private Optometry Practices.  Working for a private practice has always been a personal favorite of mine and this office is no exception!  My favorite part of this job is building relationships with patients as they come in year after year for their glasses, and a private optometry practice allows me to do so.  Purchasing eyewear can be an intimidating task, especially for someone who’s never had glasses before.  My goal when working with patients is to make the process as smooth and as easy to understand as possible.  You can count on me to give you an honest opinion when frame styling and clear choices when talking about your lens options.

In my spare time, I enjoy being a photographer of children and newborns.  Kids are my passion, I really enjoy working with children as an optician and a photographer.  I have two daughters of my own who are the loves of my life.  They both wear glasses so I can relate to other moms with kids in glasses.  Let me tell you, a spare pair for your child is the way to go to ensure being stress free!  For fun, I love scouring the Austinot for fun family events, going to car shows with my husband, travelling, and watching movies.

BryanBryan (320x448)

Optician

I came to McCormick Vision Source from Midland TX in May 2015. I started this career at an early age of 16 working in the optical lab. I received a Bachelor degree at University of Texas in Arlington in Biology. I recently got engaged and together we moved to Austin to keep it weird.

Being an optician became a career as well as a hobby, I enjoy learning about new lens technology and I am always trying to customize for patient’s needs. I am passionate about customer care and helping patients “see” to their full potential. When not at work, I enjoy mountain biking, kayaking and camping.

VickiPolaroid

Bookkeeper

I am the official number-cruncher here at McCormick Vision Source.  I have the honor of being the longest running employee, having been here since 1996.  I am usually up to the challenges presented to me to make the numbers and our software work together.  I enjoy being the official private investigator.  (I believe I was one in another life)   I know the reason I have been here so long is because I get to work with one of the nicest groups of people you would ever want to meet.

In my off-time, I am an avid hockey fan and really enjoy living close to the Cedar Park Center to watch the Texas Stars play.  My husband and I really enjoy our Las Vegas treks and our timeshare in Maui.  We try to get there as often as we can, especially since our daughter and grandchildren live in Hawaii.

LaurieLaurie

Insurance Specialist

I began working with Insurance and Billing for McCormick Vision Source in May 2007. I strive hard to get all the information about your insurance benefits ready before you come in for your appointment. Most days you will find me in a purple-beaded lounge environment otherwise known as our back office. When I’m not at work, I enjoy reading, playing games on the computer, and when it’s not 110 degrees outside, I might be working in my flower beds.
